“AGROS – the road towards sustainable data-driven agriculture”
Complexity of production systems in greenhouse horticulture, arable farming and dairy is increasing. All the while society demands sustainable systems. Current production systems can only meet this demand to a limited extent. The way forward involves a transition to sustainable, data driven, intelligent agricultural and horticultural systems. In the AGROS-project we are investigating how technology can contribute to this transition, looking for cross-overs between the agricultural sectors. We develop knowledge about the production systems, sensors to generate data and intelligent algorithms to control the system based on the measured data.
This year the project comes to an end with this network & knowledge event. We would like to share the innovations in the field of sustainable data driven agriculture with you in an interactive way.
Inspiring keynote by Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs, an inspiring data scientist with a down-to-earth view on AI and it’s influence on society will kick off the event with an inspiring keynote. He is the author of books such as “From earthquake to zoonosis: on using models for policy” and “The demystification of AI: a plea for the use of common sense”.
